Parish-wide Recognition Program to Highlight Hurricane Ida Recovery Relief Efforts
Community STandouts Will Showcase Honorees Stepping Up Throughout St. Tammany to Help Those in Need
Mandeville, LA – Today, St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper is pleased to announce the launch of a new parish-wide collaborative community recognition program designed to showcase the efforts of various businesses, non-profits, and community organizations that have stepped up in tremendous ways in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and shown amazing generosity to communities in need throughout St. Tammany.
St. Tammany Community STandouts is a collaborative effort presented by the Parish President’s office, St. Tammany Corporation, St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission, Northshore Business Council, Northshore Community Foundation, Northshore Home Builders Association, and Tri-Parish Works.
“St. Tammany Parish Government is proud to collaborate with partner organizations to recognize those who have generously served their neighbors in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida,” said St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper. “The willingness of our local companies and organizations to quickly take action to reach out and serve the public is what makes the St. Tammany community an outstanding place to live and do business.”
This recognition program will allow residents and community members to nominate an organization of their choice with a brief explanation of why they should be highlighted. Throughout the fall, honorees’ stories will be shared on social media platforms of the various partner organizations. Organizational support will be provided by St. Tammany Corporation.
Nominations will be accepted through this online form, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/StTammanyCommunitySTandouts, now through Friday, October 29, 2021. For more information, please visit www.RESTOREStTammany.com or contact Elizabeth Lee at St. Tammany Corporation at 985-809-7874.
