Public Notice: Proposed Millage Rate Increase

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Art. 7, Sec.23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the St. Tammany Parish Council will be held at its regular meeting place, St. Tammany Parish Council Chambers, 21490 Koop Drive, Mandeville, Louisiana on Thursday, July 7^th, 2022 at 6:00 pm to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to a millage rate not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next tax year from the increased millage is $12,752,227 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $1,041,489.

 This is not a new tax and St. Tammany Parish shall not exceed the voter approved maximum millage rate.
