Today, February 23, 2024, the Department of Utilities received confirmation from the Louisiana Department of Health that the water we provide you is safe for consumption. Therefore, the Precautionary Boil Advisory is rescinded.

2770, 2780, 2790, 2800, 2810, 2960, 2980, 2990 Gause Blvd E

On February 20, 2024, the Department of Utilities turned off water service to the above customers to repair a broken water line. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, the customers listed above are under a precautionary Boil Advisory.

This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Department of Utilities. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container.  The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.  (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)

Again, please be sure to disinfect your own water prior to consumption until you have been advised otherwise.

The Department of Utilities will rescind this BOIL ADVISORY upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health that additional water samples collected from our system have shown the water to be safe.  

Customers affected by this advisory will be advised when it is rescinded by signs placed in the area and a post on parish website

Northridge Estates Water System Service Interruption

On Thursday, February 22, 2024, water service to the Northridge Water System will be temporarily interrupted at 9 am while maintenance is performed at the well site. The interruption is expected to last up to two hours and customers should expect low to no water pressure during this time.

As an abundance of caution and in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, all customers serviced by the Northridge water system will be under a precautionary boil advisory once water service is restored. Customers will be notified when the boil advisory is issued by signs placed throughout the area, an automated phone call and updates to the Parish website and social media sites.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
